Flower block wall hanging.

I've joined a local needlework group for immigrant women, Drentse Doeken, we have been working on a wall hanging for the volunteers centre. Each woman has made a square, this is the result so far, I'll post another photo when it is sewn together and hanging in place.

Thank you for stopping by my blog... isn't it wonderful how we can all share ideas and our fun creations?

I love your flowers - you ladies did a beautiful job and I can't wait to see it completed. Are they silk ribbon flowers?

Hi Nicki, thanks for being the first person to comment on my blog.
The flowers on this wall hanging are old immitation flowers pulled apart, we arranged them with small pieces of knitting and I also used a few buttons and beads on mine.
I called in at the local library tonight and was pleased to see the other wall hanging quilt that the women from the Drentse Doeken group did before I joined the group, I am planning to return to the library on Monday, I'll take a photo and post it on the blog, it's very pretty and I think you will be interested to see it.
